To divorce
Have you submitted an application to the court for divorce or legal separation? Or have you already been divorced by a court decision? Then only choose 'No' if your ex-partner is no longer registered at your home address.
Your spouse or registered partner is your allowance partner.
Are there other people besides yourself registered at your home address? Hereinafter we refer to these persons as co-residents.

Co-resident
A co-resident is someone who lives with you and is registered at your address. For example, the person you live with, your child, your parent(s) or a friend.

Subtenant
A subtenant is someone who rents part of your home, for example a room. You have entered into a written rental agreement with each other.

Are all co-residents your children or your parents?
Are all co-residents younger than 27 years old on January 1, 2024?
Have you concluded a cohabitation contract with one of your co-residents with a notary?
Do you have a child with one of your fellow residents?

Do you or one of your co-residents have a child living at home who is younger than 18 years old?
Resident child
Only choose 'Yes' if this child is registered with the municipality at your address.
Was one of your fellow residents your allowance partner in 2023?
You do not have an allowance partner.
The co-resident with whom you have a child is your allowance partner.
The co-resident with whom you have a cohabitation contract is your allowance partner.
The co-resident with whom you are registered as partners with a pension fund is your allowance partner.
Your co-resident is your allowance partner.

Your co-resident cannot be your allowance partner in the following situations:

  • Your co-resident is your parent or child and one of you is younger than 27 years old on January 1, 2024.
  • You have 2 or more roommates who are 18 years or older.

NB!
Do you have 2 or more roommates? And was one of your fellow residents your allowance partner in 2023? Then that co-resident will also be your allowance partner in 2024.

Your co-resident who was your allowance partner in 2023 is also your allowance partner for 2024.
The co-resident with whom you jointly own your home is your allowance partner.

Your co-resident is your allowance partner.

Your co-resident cannot be your allowance partner in the following situations:

  • Your co-resident is your parent or child and one of you is younger than 27 years old on January 1, 2024.
  • You have 2 or more roommates who are 18 years or older.
